Here it begins...

Dear Nikki,

I've started this blog off of your suggestion that we start sharing our thoughts on this thing called beauty. You said,

"I think it would be a really neat and refreshing thing to journal on things like beauty...whether we see it in nature, the reflection in the mirror, in relationships we have, or just the sweetness of hearing God affirming us. Beauty is found, too, in the rugged terrain of life that we come across. The pain, heartache, and brokenness (something we both have known well)."

I want to take on your suggestion as a challenge for the both of us to seek out the beauty of God in everything we encounter in life, then to blot it down (or type it out) in this online journal. I think such thoughts should be shared with anyone who longs to encounter a part of their heart and soul that was made to know the majesty of God.

In this blog, we ought to share about inward beauty, beauty found in Scriptures, what it means to be a woman (and captivating), and the struggles we face to find beauty in ourselves. May it be an encouragement to each other and to those who have ever struggled to find worth.
